My husband is 80 and takes medication for diabetes, blood pressure and cholesterol . I am 78 and don’t take any medication at all. We go to Arizona for 6 weeks from the third week in October, return home for Christmas and then after the New Year we go back to Arizona until the third week in March.
That sounds like a nice schedule. You will need either two single trip policies or an annual multi-trip plan. Both of you will have to complete a medical questionnaire and your husband’s premiums will be based on his medical record. I suggest you speak directly with an agent or travel insurance specialist to help you as medical questionnaire’s require special care. Also, you should be aware that if you make a medical claim during your first trip, it will be considered a pre-existing condition against your second trip and you will be obligated to tell your insurer so that your coverage conditions can be altered.
